Lily's Journey

To those of you just joining Lily's story, her journey began in December 2024. This vibrant little girl, just 11 months old, was thriving and enjoying life with her three older sisters. But then, two seemingly routine viruses unexpectedly sent her into respiratory distress, requiring CPR and a 911 call. She spent the Christmas holiday in the hospital, a time no family expects to be spent in such a way.

After her release, Lily's spirit rebounded, and she was back to playing and being the joyful, almost one-year-old she was meant to be. But their world was turned upside down again seven months later when a typical summer cold unexpectedly sent Lily back into respiratory distress, this time requiring resuscitation in the ambulance. This resulted in complications affecting her brain, a devastating blow that left her parents, Ryan and Heather, reeling. While the despair of that ambulance ride is unimaginable, they clung to their unwavering faith in the Lord. Even in the midst of the unimaginable, they found solace in their faith, always finding God in each challenging moment.

After extensive tests and consultations, Lily was found to have a condition that makes seemingly routine illnesses trigger severe respiratory distress episodes. Their journey continues as Lily prepares to transfer to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for intensive physical rehabilitation.

Ryan and Heather have been pillars of strength for Lily and her sisters, showcasing their deep faith even in the face of immense challenges. They are always finding God's grace in every difficult moment. Ryan recently started his own HVAC business, and Heather works PRN, offering flexibility with their schedules. However, this flexibility comes at a cost, as they now face the immense financial strain of having their young daughter two hours away from home and her sisters, especially while navigating the early stages of business ownership without access to paid time off.
