We have set up this fund to share with family and close friends to help out Lily, our sister and prima. Many may or may not know the battle Lily has been facing this year.

Lily was recently diagnosed with advanced stage III colon cancer. She had been dealing with symptoms for about a year until it was discovered that she had a large tumor in her colon causing all her health problems. She has undergone chemotherapy in preparation to reduce tumor size with plans for surgery for tumor removal in November. She is currently in the middle of her first round of chemotherapy treatment.

Lily is the type of person you bump into at the store or at her boys' games and would never even know anything was wrong. She doesn’t skip a beat with the boys' busy schedule and demands of a single working mom. This week, Lily faced an unexpected hospitalization related to an infection she contracted in her colon. This has put her out of work earlier than she expected, causing financial stress and affecting her ability to provide and be there for her boys. Currently, her mom & dad, and sister Maribel are lending their help where and when they can, but they are now needing some more help.

If you have been wanting to help and wondering how this is the place to donate what you can directly to Lily. If you have known of Lily’s situation for a few months or are just finding out, we want to express how immensely grateful she is for all the prayers, visits, meals, and pep talks.

This profile will serve as a place for updates on her progress and treatment as we come together to support Lily in covering expenses while she is hospitalized and post-surgery (a couple of months) when she is unable to work. The goal amount is to take into consideration her monthly expenses to help her cover a few months while she is out of work so that she can continue providing for her family.

Hola familia y amigos, hemos creado este fondo para compartir con familiares y amigos cercanos para ayudar a Lily, nuestra hermana y prima. Muchos pueden o no saber la batalla que Lily ha estado enfrentando este año. Recientemente le diagnosticaron a Lily un cáncer de colon avanzado.

Había estado lidiando con síntomas durante aproximadamente un año hasta que se descubrió que tenía un tumor grande en el colon que causaba todos sus problemas de salud. Se sometió a quimioterapia como preparación para reducir el tamaño del tumor y tiene planes de someterse a una cirugía para extirparlo en Noviembre. Actualmente se encuentra en medio de su primera ronda de tratamiento de quimioterapia.

No pierde el ritmo con la apretada agenda de los niños y las demandas de una madre soltera que trabaja. Esta semana, Lily enfrentó una hospitalización inesperada relacionada con una infección que contrajo en el colon. Esto la dejó sin trabajo antes de lo esperado, lo que le causó estrés financiero y afectó su capacidad de proveer y estar allí para sus hijos. Actualmente, su mamá, su papá y su hermana Maribel están prestando su ayuda donde y cuando pueden, pero ahora necesitan un poco más de ayuda.
