At just 17 years old, Lily has experienced more grief and hardship than most people face in a lifetime.

When Lily was only 13 years old, she lost her mom after a long and heartbreaking 10-year battle with Multiple System Atrophy. Losing her mother at such a young age was incredibly difficult, but Lily continued to push forward with strength, resilience, and determination.

Tragically, in February 2026, Lily faced another devastating loss when her father passed away unexpectedly. In just a few short years, Lily has lost both of her parents — an unimaginable reality for anyone, especially someone so young.

Despite these hardships, Lily has continued to work hard and stay focused on her future. This fall, she plans to attend James Madison University to pursue her college education and build the life her parents always wanted for her.

Without the financial support that parents typically provide during this stage of life, Lily now faces the overwhelming challenge of balancing school, work, and the financial responsibilities that come with attending college on her own.
