Support Lilyette Mendoza's Education Journey to India

Hello everyone! My name is Lilyette Mendoza, I am a current student at the University of Houston - Downtown location. I am working towards achieving my Bachelor's degree in Social Work as a full-time student, while working part-time. Above the screen, I am proud to announce and showcase my acceptance letter into the school's study abroad course that will be taking place next year in India! I am excited to represent UHD and the study abroad program as I visit different mental health institutions and schools of social work in India.

As it is a long way from home, the cost expenses are too high for me to handle alone as I try to manage and balance my bills and responsibilities. While the school provided a study abroad scholarship that takes care about 65% of the overall cost of the trip, there is a remaining balance of $1,360.00 left for me to pay. There are two down payments needed for this trip. The first one that saves and solidifies my spot into the program is $1,000.00, due in the first week of November. As for the remaining $360.00 will be due in January.

Any kind of contribution whether that is $1, $5 or even $10 will be greatly appreciated in supporting a young Hispanic woman accomplish her dreams of traveling and her education journey as she become culturally relevant with how different countries and cultures have evolved with mental health and social work resources.
