I’m Katie Verrue and I’m putting together a way for the community, family, and friends to support the New family (of Prather) as 13-year-old Lily New recovers from a freak accident that took place during Gymkhana (an equestrian event) which resulted in severe skull fractures, damage to her frontal lobe, perforated ear drum, and a traumatic brain injury. Thankfully she was wearing her helmet that saved her life. She is currently in Valley Children’s Hospital, and will be enduring a long road to recovery that will take months or years.

Cost of gas and day-to-day living expenses add up quickly as both Shane (dad) and Catherine (mom) spend as much time as they can down with Lily in the hospital and at home with their other 3 children.
