Dear friends and compassionate souls,

A devastating tragedy has struck the loving family of our dear friend and Aventura community member, Lily. Her beloved husband, Andriy, who had been by her side for 14 years and was a dedicated father to their little twins, has suddenly passed away. It is with heavy hearts that we share this story, as it's a tale of immense pain and sorrow.

Andriy's journey was marked by resilience and unwavering determination. He faced health challenges after contracting COVID-19, which led to open-heart surgery and the installation of a pacemaker. At one point, his heart even stopped for five agonizing minutes, but the doctors managed to bring him back to life in 2019. Since then, his life became a series of surgeries and rehabilitations, all in the pursuit of battling a relentless foe - heart failure. Despite the health challenges he worked, enjoyed sports, but above all, he adored his twins and cherished his wife, Lily.

Tragically, Andriy passed away last month, the day before his children’s 7th birthday. Instead of celebrating this special occasion, Lily had to plan a funeral for her beloved husband. Lily, now a single mother, is left alone to care for their little twins. She is doing her best, working three days a week, and actively seeking employment for the remaining two days. The weight of the bills that must be paid is overwhelming.

This family has never asked for help before, but the situation they now find themselves in is dire. They need support, both emotionally and financially, as they navigate through this painful journey of loss and adjustment.
