My name is Lilu Hendrix. I am 12 years old. I am the oldest of three daughters. I have the opportunity to travel to Washington, DC, and New York City next spring break, April 2026. The trip is put on through my school, but it is not a school field trip.

For the next 270 days, I plan on doing everything I can to earn money to pay for this trip. Some of the places I will visit are the MLK Monument, the Arlington National Cemetery, the Smithsonian Museum, the White House, the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, and Central Park. We will also attend a real Broadway show and a ghost tour. This will be my first time traveling without my parents and the biggest grown-up experience of my life so far.
