Hi there I'm Lilly. I've been out of work since last August (2025) and have been trying to find something - ANYTHING - ever since. Unfortunately nothing has come through. I've tried retail, office jobs, temp agencies, you name it. Unemployment ran out in February and I've been skating by on luck ever since. But that luck is running dry. I've gotten a few writing commissions but not enough to cover the monthly bills and especially upcoming rent for June. I'm trying to get as many commissions as I can and am also trying to take on some petsitting clients to bring money in that way, but growing that business is an exercise in time and patience, and time is one thing I don't really have right now. I have TWO WEEKs to come up with rent money and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't very much panicking about it.

I've been homeless a few times in my life and am absolutely TERRIFIED of ending up that way again. Especially as a queer nonbinary person under this administration. I'd also have to give up my cat, who is my little shadow and keeps me sane in pretty much everything I do. Quite literally anything at all helps!
