Help Lilly Fight Her Brain Tumor
Update--
Lilly’s Update (March – September)
We wanted to share an update on Lilly’s journey over the past several months. It has been a rollercoaster filled with some of the hardest moments we’ve ever faced, but also with so much love, strength, and hope.
Back in March, Lilly underwent a craniotomy and spent six days in the hospital. Watching her go through brain surgery was one of the scariest moments of our lives, but Lilly faced it with incredible bravery. Her recovery amazed everyone — even the doctors — and she came home determined to get back to being an 11-year-old kid again.
For a few months, things felt like they were turning a corner. She had more energy, she was laughing, and she was finding ways to enjoy life in between appointments and treatments. But in July, we got the devastating news that her cancer had come back. Hearing those words broke our hearts all over again. Since then, it’s been about regrouping, adjusting her care, and preparing for the next steps in her fight.
Even with everything she’s been through, Lilly hasn’t lost her light. She continues to inspire us with her strength and her smile. She’s looking forward to something truly special — her upcoming Dreams Come True trip to Hawaii. Lilly has always loved the ocean, and this trip will give her the chance to experience swimming with animals, visiting Pearl Harbor, seeing waterfalls, and even going to a real luau. Having this dream to look forward to has given her a huge boost of joy and excitement.
This journey has been incredibly tough on our family, emotionally and financially, but the support we’ve received has been a lifeline. Every donation, prayer, and kind word means more than we can ever put into words. Thank you for continuing to walk alongside Lilly as she fights with all her strength. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers as we move forward with hope. ✨
Hi everyone,
We are reaching out with heavy hearts but also with hope as we navigate an incredibly difficult journey for our sweet Lilly. She is an amazing 10-year-old with a bright spirit and a kind heart. She is full of life, creativity, and dreams for the future—but right now, she is facing a battle no child should have to fight.
Lilly has been diagnosed with a brain tumor, and after careful evaluation, her doctors have determined that she needs a craniotomy, a complex brain surgery, to remove it. She will have to stay in the hospital for at least six days, followed by a long recovery and additional medical care. This has turned our world upside down, but we are staying strong for our girl.
Between hospital stays, medical expenses, travel, and time off work to care for her, the financial burden is overwhelming. We want to be by her side every step of the way, giving her the love and support she needs to heal. That’s why we are humbly asking for help—any donation, big or small, will go directly toward Lilly’s medical bills, travel expenses, and ensuring she gets the best care possible.
Lilly is a fighter, and she’s facing this challenge with so much bravery. But she can’t do it alone. If you can help in any way—by donating, sharing this fundraiser, or simply keeping her in your thoughts and prayers—we would be forever grateful.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting Lilly during this incredibly difficult time. We believe in her strength, and with your help, we can give her the best chance at recovery.
With love and gratitude,
The Shockley Family
