Hi, my name is Tammy, and I’m Lillie’s mom.

Lillie is a teenager who has been bravely fighting cancer. For years, our family’s life has revolved around treatments, hospital stays, medications, and doing everything we can to protect her joy in the middle of medical uncertainty.

Cancer doesn’t just affect the patient — it reshapes an entire family’s life emotionally, physically, and financially.

After a long season of instability and constant crisis management, we are preparing to relocate from Houston to the Charlotte, North Carolina area. This move is centered around Lillie’s ongoing care and our desire to be near Levine Children’s Hospital, as well as extended support systems that can help us build something more sustainable.

While we hope to live in Charlotte, we are open to surrounding areas if it allows us to find the right home — one where we can finally stop moving, put down roots, and create a sense of safety and community for our children.

Right now, we need help with the very real costs of this transition, including:

• Moving expenses from Houston to the Charlotte area (moving truck, gas, travel food)

• Utility deposits and basic housing setup costs

• Temporary living expenses during the transition

• Medical-related expenses not fully covered by insurance

We are tired of living in survival mode. We long for a home to call our own, friendships and community to support us, and a sense of stability we have not had during this journey. Outside of online friends and family, who have been an incredible blessing, we have largely walked this road without a local support system.

None of us know how many days we are given. Because of that, I try every day to make Lillie smile, laugh, and feel deeply loved. Our hope is that this move allows us to make each day count with less fear and more peace.
