Help a Mother of 4 Fight Stage 4 Breast Cancer – Urgent Treatment Needed

Hi everyone,

I never imagined I would be writing something like this, but today I’m reaching out with hope in my heart.

My mom, Lillian Oluka, is the heart of our family. She is a wife and a mother of four. Three of my siblings are still in school, and I have recently graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery and am currently awaiting my medical internship. My dad has also been dealing with his own health challenges, which has meant my mom has carried so much of the responsibility for our family—even while quietly fighting her own battle.

To understand why this is so difficult for us, you need to know who she is.

My mom is one of the most positive and resilient people I know. She constantly encourages us to work hard and dream bigger, both at home and in school. She shares her knowledge of entrepreneurship and loves empowering women, especially young girls, to start something of their own, no matter how small. She believes deeply in creating opportunities and building a better future.

She also loves nature. One of her dreams is to plant bamboo and trees to help restore the environment. Even through everything she has faced, she has never stopped dreaming.

Since 2017, my mom has been fighting breast cancer with incredible strength. She went through surgery and completed chemotherapy in 2021. Through it all, she stayed strong, often hiding her pain behind a smile. She always tells us: “As long as you’re breathing and able, keep going.”

In March 2026, we received devastating news. The cancer has returned—and this time it is Stage 4, having spread to her lymph nodes.

This has been heartbreaking for our family. She is not just our mother—she is our anchor, our source of strength, and the one who has held us together through everything. Watching her go through this again is something no family should have to endure.

She has already exhausted her medical aid during her previous treatment. Now we are facing the overwhelming costs of urgent ongoing treatment, further tests, and critical care.

Despite everything, she remains strong and determined to keep fighting. We want to give her every possible chance. We are doing everything we can as a family, but we cannot do this alone.

We are hoping to raise $21,000 to help cover:

• Ongoing cancer treatment

• Essential diagnostic tests and scans

• Medication and supportive care
