Hi. I'm Lili. I work at Woodie Fisher Kitchen and Bar in Denver. I love what I do and the people I get to work with.

I have fallen into some hard times and am struggling to pay my rent and bills this month. My husband was laid off from his seasonal job, and he has been struggling to find work in the last few months. His insurance ran out, and Medicaid doesn't cover much. He is a diabetic and just went 2 weeks without his insulin.

I was also sick for almost 2 weeks in November with strep throat and had to miss a lot of work due to being contagious. My check only had two days on it, but that was eaten by auto-drafted bills.

I should be able to get back on track by mid-January. My rent is late, my electric bill is past due, I'm struggling to pay my phone bill, and I, unfortunately, told my family we will not be able to have Christmas this year. I am trying to work every day in December to make up for missed work.

I've always been the strong one in my family, and now I can't even take care of them. I've been going to food pantries with not much luck. It's just a very hard time right now, but I know with time we will get through this hump. Thank you all for your support. We greatly appreciate it. All funds will be used to pay past due bills.
