Support Lila Monroy-Lemus in Her Cancer Battle

Hello everyone,

We've launched this GoFundMe campaign for on behalf of the Monroy family for Berta Odilia (Lila) Monroy-Lemus, who has been fighting cancer since 2019. Despite her initial success, and going into remission, the cancer has returned more aggressively.

Recently, after an emergency surgery, we discovered she has another type of cancer in addition to the one targeted by chemotherapy.

Unfortunately chemotherapy sessions have been stopped and is being referred out of state for her treatments for both types of cancer.

As most of you know, we consider ourselves a tightly-knit family but while her children have done their best to manage the financial burden, the cost of treatment is escalating, and she needs to seek treatment out of state for better chances.

She is the cornerstone of our family and we’d do anything for her.

We share two grandsons, who adore her, she is cherished and loved by all.

Hemos lanzado esta campaña de GoFundMe en nombre de la familia Monroy para Berta Odilia (Lila) Monroy-Lemus, quien ha estado luchando contra el cáncer desde 2019. A pesar de su éxito inicial y de entrar en remisión, el cáncer ha regresado de manera más agresiva. Recientemente, después de una cirugía de emergencia, descubrimos que tiene otro tipo de cáncer además del que se estaba tratando con quimioterapia.

Desafortunadamente, las sesiones de quimioterapia se han detenido y la están remitiendo fuera del estado para sus tratamientos para ambos tipos de cáncer.

Como la mayoría de ustedes saben, nos consideramos una familia muy unida, pero aunque sus hijos han hecho todo lo posible para manejar la carga financiera, el costo del tratamiento está aumentando y ella necesita buscar tratamiento fuera del estado para tener mejores perspectivas. Ella es muy importante para nuestra familia y haríamos cualquier cosa por ella. Compartimos dos nietos quienes la adoran, ella es querida y amada por todos.
