Hello. My name is Haley and this is my cat Eggs Benedict. I’m a full time veterinary assistant and am in college to get a medical imaging degree. Eggs Benedict recently developed a urinary blockage and I took him to work where we used a catheter to flush out his blockage of urinary crystals. However, Eggs Benedict needs more extensive treatment than is possible at my general practice. He needs hospitalization and surgery to remove further crystals. A urinary blockage is a medical emergency in cats and can cause death in as little as 24 hours. I’ve had him since he was three weeks old and bottle fed him. He’ll be four years old October 5th. He’s one of the sweetest cats I’ve ever met and he’s needing life saving surgery. Anything helps this sweet baby get treatment.
