Help Courtney Heal: Urgent Surgery Fundraiser

Hi friends, fans, and chosen family —

This is Courtney Cruz (you may know me as a burlesque performer, producer, artist, friend , mother or healer). I’ve rarely asked for help in my life — but this time, I need it. I’m learning to believe that receiving is an act of strength and that im not alone in this .

i have rare autoimmune conditions and only certain doctors understand mine. After years of chronic illness, multiple surgeries, and ongoing complications, I now need another major abdominal colon surgery that could change my quality of life.

This procedure is scheduled for August 20th — and to move forward, I need to submit a $20,000 deposit towards my bill when I check in for surgery at Columbia University Hospital in NYC in less than a week from now. I just received the estimate for my entire bill yesterday.

I’ve held so much for so many — stages, shows, communities, performances, and hearts.

Now, I’m asking: will you help hold me?

plus any balance left over with the hospital.

Travel to New York City

Hotel + car rental during recovery

Post-op medications and support care

My medical insurance will cover 60% of my in patient care which leaves me with approximately $47,000 to pay when this is all said and done .
