How America Saved My Life — and How I Plan to Give Back,

Hello, my name is Alexandru Ciobanu. I’m a U.S. citizen, Tonawanda NY and I want to share how this country — through its doctors, resources, and kind-hearted people — helped me survive a severe case of COVID-19. I now hope to give back through an innovation that could help improve lives and health for many.

In late 2019, I was working maintenance at a rehabilitation center in Illinois. When COVID hit, we lost patients weekly. On November 8, 2020, I contracted the virus myself — and it nearly killed me. I was placed into a medically induced coma and woke up weeks later with multiple injuries, breathing through a tube, and unable to even sit up on my own.

I had a long and painful rehabilitation, both in the facility and at home. At one point, I had less than 10% lung function. The hospital bills exceeded $900,000 — all covered by U.S. taxpayers. That’s when I realized: I must give back.

Before I fell ill, I had begun work on a health-based project — a concept I now believe was divinely inspired. As a former physical education teacher, I used those same principles to rebuild my strength from a hospital bed. Those movements are now the foundation for my innovation.

The Innovation: “CorrectE-01 AGF-17”

This is a health-focused electromechanical installation designed to gently engage the entire body. It activates major systems — cardiovascular, muscular, skeletal, nervous — through controlled motion, improving posture, organ function, and even potentially helping with scoliosis and hernias.

It’s designed for easy, safe, and enjoyable use by all ages. It can be placed in parks, schools, fitness centers, backyards, Church backyards, beaches, and public spaces. It encourages movement, connection, and health for our screen-obsessed generation.

I’ve created a small prototype and now seek funding to: .,Feasibility project (or proof of concept )
