Donate to Save a Warrior Princess from Parvo

My fellow friends, family, and community, I'm reaching out with an urgent plea for help. What began as a blessing, a surprise to get me out of a dark time, adopting a new pet into the family was hard. Not as hard as finding out that said pet has parvovirus. She is battling the horrifying and devastating effects of parvovirus. The survival of her depends on extensive veterinarian care. With at-home care, a parvo puppy only has a 50/50 chance of surviving; with 24-hour care, she has 90%. I am in desperate need of your financial assistance to give her a fighting chance. She is not just a pet to me, as anyone feels about their own. She is mi vida, a warrior princess. She was the brightest chi I've ever personally come into contact with, a miracle. I was told she had gotten her parvo shot; come to find out, she only had her dewormer. She was perfect, perfectly healthy, or seemed so. Brightest animal I have ever met, loves everything and everyone. Smartest little thing too. She is definitely one of those animals that people say, "a human trapped inside a dog's body." She was definitely a human before. She's everything you could ask for in a dog, EVERYTHING. Anyone who meets her falls deep in love with her, truly a blessing to walk into anyone's life.

Then one night, she started throwing up profusely. She refused to eat and was bedridden. I was hoping for the best, maybe just a stomach ache, I said to myself. I knew deep down it was something darker. She has always been a fighter; she was so close to being named Xena. Definitely the strongest puppy I have ever met; if it was something small, she would be pushing. The next day, it was getting worse progressively: diarrhea, not eating, throwing up, lethargic, and lost weight. I took her in immediately, found the only place open on a Saturday, and got her in as quickly as possible. Immediately they knew it was parvo. A test backed that up. The cruel and insidious disease is killing my baby. As hours go on, she fights for her life every waking second, clinging on for herself and for us. You can see the fire in her eyes. The treatment she is on now is keeping her going, and I cannot give up on her. She is given fluids and IVs, which are now even very difficult to get paid. I am doing everything humanly possible to keep her hydrated and healthy with at-home care. In 2023, a parvo puppy was treated with a new treatment, CPMA, a treatment that neutralizes the virus by mimicking a dog's antibodies. He survived while on heaven's front door. I want the best for my baby, if that means continuing doing everything I can currently, or trying to come up with the money to get her in 24-hour care. She deserves the chance to truly live; she is fighting a relentless battle, wanting to jump up and run around again herself, give everyone she sees kisses. I truly do not want to have it come down to euthanizing my child, in order for her to not suffer. I have seen all the small things to count as little victories, but to continue what I'm doing, the bill is going to soar. She is definitely not out of the woods. I've been very fortunate to have the support and advice that I have received from very skilled people. I am incredibly grateful for BBC vet and Dr. Kim for doing everything possible in grasp and completely understanding the situation and assessing it accordingly. My little girl desperately deserves a true shot at life; she deserves a chance to live. She has endured so much, holding on for those around her and herself. The cost of this life-saving treatment is daunting; the financial burden is overwhelming, far beyond my means and the resources that I have.
