Hi, I’m singer/songwriter Bon’ Chance from Los Angeles, CA.
In January 2025, wildfires tore through Los Angeles, destroying homes in Altadena, the Palisades, and Topanga Canyon. The headlines may have moved on, but many survivors are still living in cars, motels, or shelters—struggling every day to rebuild their lives.
We’re launching this campaign to bring direct, immediate help to those left behind.
I recorded a song called “City of Angels” after witnessing the devastation firsthand. The accompanying video, filmed in the burned hills of LA, tells the story of what was lost—and why we must act now. This fundraiser isn’t about raising money for awareness; it’s about raising money for people, person-to-person, transparently, and urgently.
Our Goal: $250,000
After meeting the leadership of LifeLine Christian Fellowship Center, a largely black congregation I was heartbroken by the many stories I heard of loss from the January 2025 fires. LifeLine was burned to the ground and 19 homes of their congregants where destroyed.
In spite of this, they remain resilient and even sent their choir to sing on my recording of "City of Angels". Their determination to survive and help serve their local community which also lost 9000 homes inspired me to help them relaunch their food bank and distribute assistance directly to the victims of these recent terrible fires.
Use of funds:
$50,000 to reopen the Lifeline Church's Food Bank in Altadena, which served hundreds each week before it was destroyed in the fires.
$200,000 to help vetted fire survivors with essentials like housing, rent assistance, groceries, household goods and transportation.
We’ve seen major fire relief efforts raise tens of millions, only for victims to be left behind. We’re here to do the opposite: every dollar you give goes directly to vetted survivors who need it most at assure full transparency of where each dollar goes.
Whether you give $10 or $1,000, you will help someone take a step toward rebuilding. Please donate and share this campaign with your friends, neighbors, and on social media.
Together, let’s be the City of Angels they deserve!
