Kitty Konnection is a non-profit cat and kitten rescue in Georgia conducting this fundraiser in hopes to help pay for Raindrop's serious illness and hospital stay. Raindrop was born in foster care on March 3, 2025. A normal, healthy kitten from the beginning, playing with her littermates and loving life, she was somewhat independent from a very early age. She loves to follow her caregiver around on her four little paws seeking pets and giving her purrs as a reward. The end of June, Raindrops story took a drastic turn as she began to experience lethargy, nauseous and vomiting, diarrhea, and unable to function normally. Unable to see her normal local vet due to office closings for the 4th of July, Raindrop was taken to an emergency clinic 30 minutes away. After a thorough examination, it was discovered that she was suffering from an internal blockage and that she was septic. The next few days were touch and go as she fought to survive her plight. Raindrop's vet conducted x-rays, ultrasounds, administered fluids, as she was severely dehydrated, and several antibiotics. Raindrop also stopped eating and it became necessary to tube feed her. Twenty four hour care was required as she fought for her life. Raindrop remains hospitalized with irregular blood pressure readings but the vet has hope that Raindrop will ultimately survive. The vet bill is currently in the high thousands. On behalf of Raindrop and our organization, thank you for your help.
