Support Life Saving Treatment for My Brave Sister

My sister Krista has continued to fight her cancer, but the fight never stops because neither does the cancer. The toll it takes to endure is so difficult on her, and she is always doing what she can for lifestyle to intervene with this horrible disease. But unfortunately it is trying to set up shop again.

We desperately need updated genetic profiling and testing to determine the course of action. The test costs $3,000 and is not covered.

Last year, with your support, we raised funds that helped my sister access critical cancer treatment. It was a wildly successful show of love and generosity, and we will never forget it. But the truth is, the full cost of care exceeded what we were able to raise. We borrowed the rest—and interest is still accruing monthly on that debt.

Now, we’re facing another urgent challenge.

Although we believe she responded to the treatment she received, her body is now showing signs of resistance to her current hormone therapy protocol. We’re deeply concerned that a genetic mutation may be driving this change. To move forward, her oncologist has recommended a specialized genomic profiling test—an advanced analysis that could reveal critical mutations, guide targeted treatments, and even open the door to clinical trials.

I wish we didn’t have to ask again. But we can’t ignore what’s happening—and we won’t sit back and hope for the best when there’s a chance to take action.
