Meet Liem and Elijah: Two Extraordinary Brothers Building Their Future Together
At nine years old, Liem faces challenges that most of us couldn't imagine. Living with a rare form of epilepsy, he's endured over 70 hospital visits and ambulance rides since he was nine months old. By his side through it all is his seven-year-old brother Elijah – a remarkable young boy who shows wisdom and compassion beyond his years.
While both brothers are passionate soccer players, Elijah often has to adapt his plans and activities around his brother's health needs. Yet rather than resent these adjustments, he's channeled his energy into being both a supportive brother and a determined young entrepreneur.
Together, these incredible boys started their business journey by pressure washing trash cans in their neighborhood. Working as a team, with Elijah stepping up whenever Liem needs to rest, they saved enough with the help of their mom, Mindee, to purchase their first vending machine. Their determination and brotherhood (and mom's help!) have helped them expand to two machines in the Colorado Springs airport and one in a local mechanic shop.
Due to Liem's unpredictable seizures, traditional employment will be challenging as he grows older. The vending machine business offers both brothers a flexible opportunity – one where Elijah can continue supporting his brother while building their shared dream. Every month, the family faces $1,500 in medication costs alone, plus $1,800 for each necessary ambulance ride. The income from their machines helps offset these expenses while funding their competitive soccer programs and Lucy's service dog training.
With their mother Mindee working as Liem's full-time caregiver, these young entrepreneurs are showing remarkable business sense and determination. They're reinvesting every penny earned back into their business, still pressure washing trash cans to help make ends meet.
We're seeking support to help these brothers expand their network to six locations with newer, more reliable equipment. This isn't just about building a business – it's about creating a sustainable future where both brothers can thrive, supporting each other while achieving their dreams. All profits from the machines will go towards medical costs, service dog training and the competitive soccer program that both boys love more than anything.
Your contribution will help these remarkable brothers continue their entrepreneurial journey together, ensuring that neither Liem's health challenges nor Elijah's young sacrifices define their future success."
