Support Libraries for Kids in the Philippines

Hello, our names are Tim and Jillian Amos. We are working on a large project to build and supply 10 different elementary school libraries in the Philippines, in partnership with the East Davao Rotary and Mechanicsville Rotary Clubs.

Over the past month, we have collected over 2,000 books to fill the libraries, courtesy of Hanover County Public Schools, who donated a majority of the books. Now that we have collected the books, we will be shipping 7 large boxes, just this summer, with about half of them. We will use these books to stock three of the completed libraries in Gutalid, Binoongan, and Gambudes Elementary Schools. However, each box costs about $125 to ship. We are asking for donations to fund the shipment of these books and the rest of the books we will put in the next shipment. Anything you can donate will help get these children the books they need to become successful readers and provide them with large libraries that they have never even seen before. These schools have minimal books, technology, and other important resources for their students. Our hope is to provide them with full libraries where they can learn and read about many things they have never before experienced.
