Support Libbi’s Path to Health and Recovery

Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters,
In September 2024, Libbi suffered a stroke that resulted in substantial brain damage at the age of 41. Due to the disability she incurred, Libbi was forced to withdraw from graduate school and was let go from her job as a social worker. With that, she lost the associated tuition benefits and employer-supported health insurance.
Now, Libbi faces the daunting task of rebuilding her life while grappling with the effects of aphasia and apraxia. These conditions make it difficult for her to speak, understand language, and process conversations. Her attention span and executive brain functioning are all impacted.
Libbi spends her days attending speech therapy, occupational therapy, mental health therapy, and numerous medical appointments. She will need to take blood thinners for the rest of her life, which are not only expensive but come with their own risks. While she has made some progress, the journey to full recovery remains uncertain, and there is still much work to be done. With the support of her therapies, dedication, and the backing of her friends, family, and community, she can make strides toward improvement.
We are raising funds to help cover the significant costs of health insurance, medication, and ongoing bills with limited income. Every bit of support, whether financial or emotional, or just sharing Libbi’s story with your network would mean the world to us and will play a crucial role in her journey.
Thank you for your support, love, and generosity during this difficult time.
