Hi, as you may know, I'm Lia's mom. Lia was diagnosed with ADHD and ODD in the spring of this year. It's made school and home life difficult for her and me. I needed Lia to have an outlet where she would be challenged and would learn focus and being attentive. Something that would boost her confidence as well. After attending a birthday party at a Tae Kwon Do school, Lia really enjoyed it and wanted to try a class. We went to a trial class, and the rest is history. She took to it like a fish to water. Not only is it something she gets to look forward to, but it has helped her with being a leader, having focus, being respectful, confidence, and strength within herself. She's even made friends and has helped some of the younger kids stay focused by being a good example. Recently, Lia has earned a new belt and the opportunity to move into a more challenging class called the "Black Belt Club". Unfortunately, the cost of the equipment and new uniform is more than this single mom can afford. It's hard for me to even ask, but us moms will do anything for our babies. I don't want Lia to have to miss out on something that she loves and engages her and challenges her for the better. Everything would go directly toward her equipment, new uniform, and first month's tuition. We appreciate every single person in our village who contributes to our lives.
