Hello! My name is Liana Ferreira, and I’m a 20-year-old full-time college student-athlete. Balancing school, sports, competitions, and work has always been challenging, but I’ve managed to make it work so I can pursue my dreams. I work for my school, which limits me to 20 hours a week, and with my demanding schedule of classes, studying, and practices, I’m unable to take on an additional job.
Recently, my life took a difficult turn. I was involved in a serious car accident, which resulted in my car flipping and being completely wrecked. I was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where I underwent x-rays and an ultrasound. Unfortunately, my medical insurance doesn’t cover these expenses, leaving me with significant unexpected medical bills on top of everything else.
In addition to the medical costs, I had to pay over $1,000 for my car to be towed, $500 for repairs, $400 for registration and my Oregon license, and I still have ongoing car insurance payments. These expenses have added up quickly, and I’m now struggling to cover basic necessities. With my limited income from work, it’s become incredibly difficult to make ends meet. I’m reaching out for support to help cover essential expenses like rent, school costs, and groceries so I can continue focusing on my studies and athletic commitments.
Any amount you can contribute would mean the world to me. Your support would help relieve some of the financial stress I’m facing and allow me to focus on recovering and pursuing my goals. Thank you for taking the time to read my story, and thank you for any support you can offer.
