Hi, my name is Paige. Addison is my best friend, and even though we are long distance our kids have grown up in each others lives. Her son Liam, is only 12 years old.

What began as a routine doctors appointment quickly turned into a life changing event when Addison got news that no parent is ever prepared for. Doctors discovered a nodule on Liams thyroid, and after a biopsy it was confirmed to be every parents worst fear. Cancer. Right now, they are in the process of doing additional testing to determine if it has spread beyond his thyroid before moving forward with surgery to remove it.

Anyone who knows Addi, knows she has dedicated her life to her boys. She has spent years being the steady, everyday presence in their life. She shows up with unwavering love, strength and devotion. And now, as they face this frightening season, she is doing what she has always done...She is putting her son first.

Even with insurance the cost associated with testing, surgery and recovery are adding up quickly. My hope in creating this fundraiser is that Addison doesn't have to worry about meals, bills or logistics during this time especially since she has to travel to Primary Children’s hospital for every appointment. 5 hours each way from St George. I want for her to be able to fully focus on caring for her sweet boys and walking through this with full presence.
