June 19th Update! After 16 long days in St Petes hospital, Liam has finally been transferred to Virginia Mason Franciscan Health Rehabilitation Center, where he can really focus on his recovery! This will be a long, strenuous road and he wants to thank each of you for the prayers, continuous donations and well wishes. Once he is a little stronger we will add another update and updated photo. Update! Liam was moved out of the ICU yesterday June 12th and is now in the neurology wing! Baby steps in the right direction!

My name is Lindsay Fillman and I'm starting this GoFundMe for my dear friends, Liam Osterhaus and Katy Dorr.

In the early morning hours of June 3rd, Liam suffered a massive stroke (2 major brain bleeds) and has been in the ICU ever since. He is partially paralyzed and blind. They won't know the full extent of his injuries for at least 90 days. The doctors are having trouble regulating Liam's blood pressure, which puts him at risk for another stroke. Their hope is to get him stabilized so he can be transported to a rehabilitation center that specializes in stroke victims.

For those that don't know this family, Liam has been a chef in Grays Harbor for the past 7 years and currently holds a position at the Bee Hive in Montesano. Katy has worked for the McCleary School District as a teacher, coach, mentor, and friend to all. She recently took a job at Embrace Learning Institute (ELI). With the career change, their insurance ended two days prior to Liam's stroke.

With medical and household bills piling up, let's help relieve some of their financial burdens. All donations will go directly to Liam's long road to recovery.
