we are Lez, Chelsea, Elsa and Noodle. And we are asking for help keeping our apartment.

(My) Lezs story. In September I took a huge step and quit my abusive job, which was having me work 60+ hours a week which has caused me extreme burnout and me to get infections (that I’m still healing from)and had a job lined up to start on the 22nd of September but the rescinded the offer the week I was supposed to start. Now I am waiting for my background check for my new job.

John/Chelsea’s story: after leaving a toxic relationship and after being unhoused a mutual friend reached out to me for a safe place for them to stay and in the short time they have lived with me they have had 2 jobs. 1 was a weekend gig and now they are working at FACES

Now the reason we need help. I (Lez) fell behind on rent. I am 2 months behind and if I don’t have all the rent in by the 31st I will be facing eviction and will have to find a rooms for me and my roommate and store our furniture. So I’m asking for 5,000 to cover the last 2 months of rent, late fees and catch up on our SMUD.

If you know us you know we hate asking for help and if we do it’s cuz we don’t have a choice. And that’s the situation here. If we can’t cover the rent we lose our home. I have been here a decade and would hate to leave.
