Our sweet friend Lexy is facing a difficult chapter right now. Her mom, who lives in Seattle, is battling an aggressive late-stage cancer that began as breast cancer and has now spread throughout her body. She may only have months left.

Two weeks ago, Lexy, Eric, and Liv flew to Seattle to be by her mom’s side. The reality of the situation is heavy as Lexy is one of the only people who can care for her mom, aside from her elderly grandparents who simply aren’t able to provide the level of support needed.

Lexy will need to travel back and forth from New Orleans to Seattle over the next few months, missing work and time with her own family, in order to care for her mom. The emotional toll is immense and the financial strain is beginning to add up quickly.

Eric is stepping up to care for Liv, who’s out of school for the summer. In doing so, he’s having to turn down gigs so he can be fully present for their daughter while Lexy is away.
