Hello everyone,

This is Alyssa, Lex’s spouse. I’m making this fundraiser as we are in need of some support through this difficult time.

On August 29th, Lex was rushed to the ER while having a sudden and unexplained episode of loss of consciousness, shaking, confusion, and difficulty speaking. What we were hoping would just be an ER visit has turned into something much bigger.

Lex has been in the hospital since and has not been able to regain the ability to stand, walk, and sometimes even eat on her own. The doctors have been running just about every test possible and have yet to figure out why this is happening. They are working to get her medically stable before she will enter a physical therapy rehabilitation program to gain the strength to walk again.

We have a hard time asking for help, but we are seeking support as we are struggling financially between all the medical bills, and Lex and Lys taking time off work. We have no idea how long this recovery process will take, but we are holding hope that Lex can recover quickly. As of now, it is expected that it will take a few months for Lex to be back to somewhat normalcy.

The donations from this fundraiser will go to support medical bills, inpatient and outpatient physical therapy, purchasing of mobility aids, as well as supporting the loss of funds from Lex not working.
