Hi, friends. My name is Elise and I am fundraising, along with my Fordham family, on behalf of our close friend, Lex Touris.

Lex was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer in January 2024. Since receiving this very devastating diagnosis, she has undergone a bilateral mastectomy and has begun a one-year course of chemotherapy treatment with very difficult side effects.

Unfortunately, due to the serious side effects associated with her treatment, she is unable to work. Lex is self-employed as an occupational therapist working with children. Because she is a small business owner, she is unable to access the insurance benefits that employees of larger organizations enjoy, and this disruption to her business has been particularly devastating.

Anyone who has met Lex even once knows what a wonderful, warm, and generous soul she is. She is smart, silly, dedicated, and a fiercely loyal daughter, sister, and friend. Lex has a bigger heart than anyone, and is so deserving of our love and support at this difficult time.

Lex is taking on this fight with everything she has. She is incredibly strong and is determined to be healthy one day soon. A donation of any kind will help Lex in her ongoing battle against a difficult disease. All monies raised with go directly to Lex for medical expenses and bills.
