My name is Lexi, I am 14 years old and have been selected to play soccer in Finland at the Helsinki Cup this summer. I need to raise the funds to be able to cover my trip so that I can take this once in a lifetime opportunity. I am a high honor student, I volunteer as a teacher's assistant in children's ministry at my church, I work at barns completing barn chores to help pay for my soccer league and equipment and I volunteer as well at the YMCA as a Counselor in Training. I also organize a Christmas drive every year for local children and collect donations. This year, with the help of my Mom and sister, I was able to connect 5 or more toys to over 137 families for Christmas. I have a passion for helping others and giving back and I would like to take mission trips with my church someday, to have a positive impact on the world and being able to go to Finland would be my first chance at seeing another part of the world. I work extremely hard and hope to play soccer in college. If I am able to raise the funds it will cover my trip, accommodations, tournament entry and flights. Without raising enough I will not be able to go on this once in a lifetime opportunity.
