Support Lexi’s Critical Surgery and Recovery

Hello Everyone, my name is Alexis but most of you know me as Lexi. I am Kaylee and Rowan’s mom. Firstly I never thought I would be in this situation but here is my story:

In 2020 I delivered my second child Rowan, almost two months early due to high risk pregnancy and severe complications. At my 9 month visit with my OBGYN (after his birth) we found that my pre-cancerous cells on my cervix had returned. After all treatment options were explored we tried to manage this with monitoring and controlling my hormones with birth control. Unfortunately that was not working. I had started bleeding and was in immense amounts of pain and the cells were spreading. I bleed for over 121 days before we finally were able to get me in for a Total Hysterectomy with a Bilateral Salpingectomy. This was the December of 2022. Unfortunately during that surgery my artery of my right ovary was nicked causing a massage hemorrhage and causing me to be rushed into emergency surgery less than 24 hours later. I had over a liter and a half of free floating blood in my abdominal area and required over 5 blood transfusions after being stabilized.
After I started recovering I was told this was the end of all the struggle and that I would be better.
They were very wrong.
I have lived the last almost 3 years with crippling agony and swelling in my stomach since my procedure. I have seen every doctor and specialty within my insurance network. Everyone told me it was all normal. Until I returned to the OB who did my original surgery.
I have to have another surgery now. Removing the entirety of my right ovary, with all of the cystic/tumorous tissues and adhesion tissue. As well as the removal of my appendix and possibly my gall bladder.
I have been out of work since shortly after my hysterectomy and it will be months until I can return if I am all clear from my doctor after surgery.
It is imperative that I have this procedure as soon as possible due to my physical health declining rapidly.
I am facing not only the surgical cost with supportive care but also all of our bills while I am recovering. We are in a financially dire situation right now.
If anyone is willing to share this to others, from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU. This truly may save my life and I would never ask from others if this weren’t the case.
