I’m reaching out today on behalf of my dear friend, Lexi.

On July 3rd, 2025, Lexi’s father, Damon, was admitted to St. Petersburg General Hospital in Florida after falling seriously ill. Lexi flew from Denver to be by his side the following day. Soon after, Damon received a devastating diagnosis: stage 4 pancreatic cancer, which had already spread to his liver. In light of the prognosis, Damon returned home, where Lexi—joined by her mother—cared for him.

On July 22nd, Damon passed away peacefully at home, at the age of 55.

As Lexi now begins to navigate the grief of this loss, I’m calling on her community—her circle of friends, family, and loved ones—for support. Donations will go toward medical expenses incurred during Damon’s illness, as well as the many logistical and financial responsibilities that come with end-of-life care and memorial arrangements.

Lexi stepped away from work to care for her father, and your generosity will help ease the weight of what has already been a difficult and emotional journey.

More than anything, this support allows Lexi the space and time to grieve and honor her father without the added burden of financial strain. Thank you for showing up for her in this moment.
