Support Lexanne during her surgery and recovery
Donation protected
My name is Candice Yates and I am one of Lexanne’s close friends. When discussing how we could help support Lexanne during this time, many people have expressed their want to donate and support Lexanne during this time. As many of you know, Lexanne is hardworking and independent, which means giving her blessing to set up support for her was not an easy decision she had to make. And for that we thank each of you for any support that is given.
On Wednesday May 1, 2024- Lexanne was taken to the Franklin Woods Emergency Room for a sudden onset of facial tremors and seizure like symptoms. While there she had a CT scan, an MRI, bloodwork, and other tests completed. At 5am on Thursday May 4 2024, Lexanne and her parents were informed there was a 3pm mass detected in her frontal lobe, which had caused swelling to her brain. This swelling is bordering her motor skills line and causing the facial seizures. Doctors are considering it malignant and aggressive and are also assuming Lexanne will need chemo and radiation. Another precautionary scan was performed and doctors found no other areas of concern throughout her body. At this time, Lexanne and her family have made the decision to travel to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN to have surgery and begin a treatment plan. During the surgery, there is a possibility that she will need to be awake to test her motor skills and function. After surgery, she will remain in ICU for several days to monitor her motor function and vitals. From ICU, the plan will be to move her to a regular room to begin physical therapy or any other recovery measures before coming home. Once she is home, depending on the severity of the tumor, she will begin radiation and/or chemo treatments.
At this time we do not know the timeframe but will update with details this week. While Lexanne is receiving treatment and recovering, she will be required to take a step back from work and operating her small business.
This is where you come in! We have had so many people reach out and ask how they could help Lexanne and her parents during this time, and our best answer right now is more of all prayers. Prayers for healing, strength, peace, and most of all that God will use this time to show others His love.
And you can also help financially. To allow Lexanne the opportunity to heal and recover without stress, she will need your financial support. We have already had so many ask where to donate and this is where we will be doing that for Lexanne and her family. All donations have been set up to be accessed by and directly give to Lexanne and her parents as their needs arise throughout this process.
On behalf of Lexanne and the entire Redman family, your prayers and support are coveted and valued more than you know. Thank you for all you have done. It is appreciated.
