Hi everyone,
my name is Jacquline Howell Lewisville is the community where I grew up, the place my daughter and my family have called home for years. It’s a small town in New Market, St Elizabeth Jamaica filled with kind, hardworking people many of whom are older and retired, living peacefully after decades of building this community.
A category 5 hurricane Melissa hit the west side of Jamaica directly
In a matter of hours, everything changed. The storm tore through our community, ripping roofs off homes, destroying houses, flattening market stalls, and leaving roads completely destroyed. Every family in Lewisville, New Market was affected — some lost everything. Including my own loved ones. Families are trying to salvage what they can, and many of our elderly neighbors are struggling without stable shelter or access to the major towns as roads are impassable
Even through all the heartbreak, our community hasn’t given up. Neighbors are cooking for each other, clearing debris, and helping however they can — but we need help to rebuild.
Your donation will go directly toward:
Rebuilding my family home and repairing roofs in Lewisville, Repairing the damaged roads in our community
Lewisville is more than just a town — it’s my home, my family’s home. Please help us rebuild what was lost. Every dollar makes a difference and gives us hope that we can rise again, stronger than before.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
