This isn't a page we ever expected, or wanted, to have to create.
Our hometown striker Lewis Morrison has suffered a serious ACL injury, an injury which is going to have a significant impact on much more than his football.
Lewis is facing a recovery period of around 9 to 12 months. For any footballer, that's difficult enough to deal with. But football is only one part of Lewis's life.
He works in a manual job where his physical fitness is essential to his ability to earn. The expectation is that he could be unable to work for around six months, bringing a significant loss of income at a time when he should be concentrating on his recovery.
Lewis also has a young family at home. Suddenly, an injury suffered playing football affects his work, his finances and his family life, while also taking away the game he loves for potentially the best part of a year.
As a club, asking people for financial support doesn't come naturally to us. We know everyone has their own commitments and pressures.
But we also believe this is exactly where the strength of a football club and its wider community can make a difference.
We want to help Lewis access private consultations and surgery as quickly as possible, giving him the opportunity to begin his rehabilitation and start the long road back to normal life.
The money raised will help towards the cost of his private medical treatment and operation, as well as supporting Lewis through the loss of earnings he and his family are facing while he is unable to work.
Nobody should feel under any pressure to contribute. Whether it's £5, £10 or simply sharing the page, every bit of support matters.
Football clubs talk a lot about community. This is an opportunity for ours to show what that really means.
Lewis has a long road ahead of him.
Together, we can hopefully make that road a little easier for Lewis and his family.
