On Thursday July 11, 2024, my grandfather Lew & my Aunt Denise were in a very serious multi vehicle accident. Denise is expected to recover, but it will be a very long road ahead for her. She suffered a shattered pelvis, broken bones, & a pulmonary embolism. She just lost her husband in May, & is still trying to recover from that loss, & now going through this tramatic ordeal along side her father. My grandfather Lew is in bad shape. He is 82 years old, so his age is against him. He has a spinal injury, they had to remove his spleen, along with many internal organ damages. He has already had 3 surgeries to try to fix what they can. Lew has been sedated, on a ventilator, & fighting to get through this. My cousin Brandy has been by her mom's side since Thursday, with a little one at home & my Uncle Dean has been with my grandfather as they are in two different hospitals in the ICU. We want to try to take some of the financial burden off of them as their recovery will be extensive & they are the only means of income for each of their households.
