On Saturday, September 13th, our beloved Leviy Ariel Díaz Méndez tragically lost his life to a senseless act of violence in Rantoul. He was taken from this world far too soon.

Leviy was not only a son and a father, but also a friend to so many. To know him was to know kindness—he had a big heart and was always willing to go out of his way to help others. His smile and generosity touched countless lives, and his absence has left an unimaginable void in the hearts of his family and friends.

His family’s deepest wish is to take him back home to Honduras so he can be laid to rest surrounded by his loved ones. We are asking, with heavy hearts, for any support you can give—whether through a donation or by sharing this campaign. No family should have to face this kind of heartbreak, and every bit of help brings them closer to finding peace and giving Leviy the farewell he deserves.
