My name is Brenda and I am setting this up for my dear friend and boss, Letty Sutton. In 2020, she had a malignant tumor which was removed with surgery. This last year, the doctors found that it had returned and was at stage 4 in her liver. Her doctors have deemed her terminal and given her a year or two to live. She is currently undergoing chemo to prolong her time with her family. She has done extensive research and has found an experimental treatment center in San Diego that is willing to accept her as a patient; however, her insurance denied her coverage for this treatment because it is out of network. The treatment program costs are $20,000 up front for the whole course. They have given her an estimated 5 years of absolutely no side effects if she is able to proceed. If there is anyone who deserves to have as much time as she possibly can... it's Letty.
Letty has touched the lives of so many people. She has worked as an Activities Director at a Skilled Nursing Facility here in Central California for over 10 years and is a huge advocate for her residents as well as her staff. Her program is top-notch, above and beyond standards. She is up on her feet all day every day decorating the halls, throwing unforgettable parties and events for both residents and fellow co-workers. She has even held the hands of many residents as they take their last breath because family couldn't be by their side. Now, even with her chemo attached to her chest every other week, she continues to work full time and keeps her fatigue to herself. She is one of the strongest-willed people you will ever meet. She continues to push herself to the limit for everyone else, whether it's her family, friends, or her residents. Please include her in your thoughts and prayers and even if you can't donate, please share the heck out of this so she can get started on this treatment.
