Leta Stones Heart & Home Recovery

I have watched my daughter-in-law, Leta Stone, fight courageously for her husband's life over the last three years. She has been a trooper and has never given up. I am not sure that I have ever seen a couple repeatedly hit so hard, so often.

Those who have been blessed to know Leta Stone, have loved her. God has given her the gift of loving care for those who are hurting and in need. Now, she is in great need of your help!

Leta is currently in St. Luke's Hospital awaiting tests for her heart. She has been on intravenous Lasix for days. They cannot test the heart due to so much water in the lungs, heart, liver, etc. A normal person has 100 units of water in their body, Leta has 1400. Once tests are completed, we will know the extent of the damage to major organs and how this can be repaired.

Their home was recently condemned by FEMA after the last storm due to mold. She and her husband have been staying in a FEMA motel. As it stands, that support, of a roof over their head, may be ending soon. This leaves them with no income, and no home. Their only hope is for their small RV to be cleansed from the mold. Leta's husband is on oxygen with COPD and heart issues as well.

We understand that these are tough times for everyone. You read these appeals and think it could never happen to you. But it can and is happening to many.

Please prayerfully help. Some of you may know Leta from HEB where she is a part-time employee. For each smile, each encouraging word you have ever received from Leta. She needs your help.
