Leslie is a devoted mother and a dear friend who is facing an incredibly tough battle. Recently, she was diagnosed with leukemia for the second time. As a single mom, she has always put her child first, and now she is undergoing a trial for a new chemotherapy treatment, followed by another bone marrow transplant. Because of her treatment, Leslie is unable to work, which has made it difficult to keep up with monthly bills and provide for her son. In addition, she must travel back and forth to UCSF every few weeks for her care, adding to the financial strain.
