Leslie Jones gives so much to our community. She volunteers fostering kittens, at Riverside Nature Center, The Big Fix, hosting the Holiday Parade, encouraging others, and anywhere else she can.

She experienced a terrible loss. Let’s help her fly her family in, cover the funeral, honor her parents and help with legal expenses.
In her own words:
In the early hours of Sunday, November 30, there was a fire at my parents' house. Both of my parents, Charlie and Shirley Jones, were inside and they did not survive. Many of you might already know that. It’s surreal how fast news travels around in a small town. Honestly, it’s all surreal; I had just been there for Thanksgiving. We feel strongly, by what we do know, that they did not suffer. My cousin managed to find part of a photo album and salvage some memories. I will be eternally grateful for that. I will be eternally grateful for all of my family, blood and chosen, that has completely embraced me with overwhelming love and compassion. There is so much work to be done and so much grief to feel as we maneuver all of this. I suppose one would call it a chapter, but I’m going to be really frank and say this feels like a whole new book. I wasn’t ready for the one I know to close. The outpouring of love and stories people have shared with me about my parents does not surprise me, and please don’t ever hesitate to share. My parents were good, hard-working people, flawed, but aren’t we all. If you knew them, thank you for loving them. They loved their church, they loved to help, and they loved to two-step. I can close my eyes right now and see them flying around the dance floor, like only they could. This has been an incredibly difficult year and it’s decided it’s not going to end easy either. I ask for your grace in the coming days and I again thank everyone who has reached out, showed up, offered to help, or just let me stare off into the distance for a while. Thank you for loving me, for loving my brother Will, and more importantly, for loving Charlie and Shirley.
