Support Lesley’s Chemo & Recovery

UPDATE 7/8/2025

Had an appointment with the doctor today. He informed me that I will have to complete 7 rounds of chemotherapy before he will send me in for the MRI to see if the tumor has shrunk by 20%. 

If it has then I will have to continue 2 more rounds of chemo before being scheduled for surgery for the tumor can get removed. 

I have now completed 3 rounds out of the 9 total chemotherapy rounds today July 8, 2025

For those of you that don’t know me hello my name is Lesley Smith I’ve been married for also 23 years to my wonderful husband and we have 3 wonderful children.

Since February 2018 I’ve been battling SLE Lupus. Then in February 2023 I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma . Not sure how many of you are aware of these two diagnoses but they are definitely not easy autoimmune diseases to battling and keep both my SLE Lupus and Multiple Myeloma in remission.

So then on April 17, 2025 I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Colorectal Cancer. I guess I can say that this was the worse birthday present a person can ask for.

We’ll Life for my family and I, has changed drastically making it difficult to keep up with our normal living financial.

The physical, emotional and mental toll of treatment has been challenging, and it has also made it hard for me to continue as I did before chemo.

The costs of chemotherapy, extra medications, and related medical care have set us back on our regular bills. I’m reaching out for support because these expenses are more than what we can manage alone. Please any amount will help my Family and I. Every contribution will help me continue my chemo treatments in peace and in hi spirits so I don’t have to worry that I’m racking up all these medical bills and making hard to pay the house bills.

This will allow us to stay on top of our home bills expenses during this difficult time I’m trying to stay positive, trust the process of chemo.
