Support Lesley's Artistic Journey to Barcelona

Hi! For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Lesley!

I am a visual artist from Arkansas, currently residing in Midland, Texas. I am THRILLED to share that I’ve been selected to attend my first artist residency taking place in Barcelona, Spain. This is truly a dream come true. I am so excited and grateful for this opportunity, but I will need some help getting there. Most residencies are seldom paid for nor come with a travel / living stipend, which means that all costs are paid out of pocket. Unfortunately, this keeps many artists from taking the leap in investing in their future… but I believe my community can help me. Which is why I am here, kindly asking for your support.

During my time in Barcelona, I would like to create a new series of work inspired by the sights and sounds of the city! I plan to immerse myself in my new environment and community as much as possible. I hope to meet real people with real stories that inspire this new work. I will undoubtedly find inspiration in the culture, the history, the shapes and the colors, so I am excited to see how I grow artistically while living in a completely new part of the world.
