Support Lesleigh's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Cassie Kettle. On June 12, 2024, my 10 year old daughter Lesleigh was struck by a vehicle while on her bike.
There has been a significant amount of damage, but the most severe has been a skull fracture and brain bleeding. Among others, she has multiple compound fractures in her arm, which she has had surgery on, internal bleeding from lacerations on her liver and spleen, a broken knee, multiple facial fractures, along with her nose. She has multiple contusions on her brain and lungs, along with some hairline skull fractures.
We have a long road to recovery ahead of us, but she has a strong and supportive family to help her through it.
We do not know when she'll be discharged as yet, but she will be referred to a pediatric neurosurgeon in Milwaukee or Madison, so there will be numerous trips there from Green Bay. We'll also have the cost of buying some of the medical equipment needed for a second household (her father's home and my home) as medical insurance will only cover one.
I'll post some screenshots that have explained our journey over the past 70 hours. It's been exhausting, draining, overwhelming, and most certainly, it's been humbling from the support we've received from family, friends, and our community.
Any donation, prayer, words of support, etc are appreciated more than you will ever know ❤️
I carry insurance on Lesleigh, but my policy year restarts each July, which means that there are two deductibles and two out of pocket maximums to meet, which is $3,500 per plan year.
