It is with profound sadness that we share that Lesa Arthur and her family experienced a devastating house fire on December 15th.

Lesa, her husband Thierry, their son Malik, and their dog were able to escape the home safely. Thierry sustained injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment and monitoring; thankfully, he was released later that evening.

Tragically, Lesa’s mother and grandmother were rescued from the home by fire personnel, airlifted to the DC Fire Trauma Unit, and heartbreakingly passed away overnight. Our hearts are broken for Lesa and her family as they navigate this unimaginable loss. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

The fire caused extensive damage to the home, and it is believed that all belongings were lost. The family escaped with only the clothes they were wearing, no shoes, and are in immediate need of essential items, along with continued support in the days and weeks ahead.
