Earlier this month, my adventurous Uncle Les, accompanied by his partner Lauri, suffered a critical medical emergency on the Essequibo River in Guyana, South America. While the Towner boys are known for their daring escapades, this unexpected turn of events was far from what any of us could have anticipated. His brother, Rob Towner, swiftly rushed to Guyana to provide support during this crucial time. Through immense effort and coordination, Les was transported on a medivac flight to Florida. Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, Les passed away en route to the United States.

Many individuals have expressed their desire to contribute in any way they can. The financial burden, given the critical nature of his care and transport was substantial. This GoFundMe aims to assist in covering the travel and medical expenses incurred from this tragic loss. If you know a Towner, you are likely familiar with their lovable nature. My family has deep roots in the Bitterroot Valley, and I believe that we can come together as a community to alleviate some of the financial burden that will remain from the valiant efforts to get Les home.
