The Road to Carnegie Hall and the Sacred Dog of New York
Hear ye, hear ye!
In the humble kingdom of Grand Junction, within the hallowed halls of Grand Junction High School, there lives a young bard of great promise: Leosis Wright — though among companions and tavern-folk, he is simply known as Leo.
Leo is no ordinary squire. Nay! He is a Senior of the Realm and a sworn member of both the Men’s Choir and the Mixed Choir — twin guilds of harmony whose power can shake rafters and occasionally startle substitute teachers.
But now… destiny calls.
Far to the east, beyond plains, rivers, and at least three questionable airport layovers, rises the legendary citadel known as Carnegie Hall — a sacred stage where only the most valiant vocalists dare to sing. It is said that those who perform there gain +10 Confidence, +5 Stage Presence, and permanent bragging rights.
Leo and his fellow Songknights have been summoned to perform upon this grand stage during the Spring Break Convergence. A once-in-a-lifetime quest!
But alas…
The Royal Treasury requires 1000 gold pieces to fund this noble journey (also known as airfare, lodging, and sustenance in the wilds of New York City, where even a sandwich may cost 12 silver).
And thus begins:
The Fundraising Campaign of Destiny
Leo now embarks upon a side quest — gathering allies, patrons, and generous benefactors to sponsor his pilgrimage to the Sacred Hall.
Every coin matters:
- 5 gold buys provisions.
- 20 gold wards off the Curse of Overpriced Luggage.
- 100 gold grants advantage on Travel Rolls.
Any amount brings him closer to the Sacred Dog of New York (a mysterious guardian rumored to judge all who approach the Hall — possibly just a very important statue… or possibly a very tasty hot dog).
All treasure bestowed shall be used wisely for:
- Travel across distant lands
- Shelter within the bustling kingdom of New York
- Necessary supplies for a bard on a grand adventure
Should Leo succeed, he will stand upon the stage of Carnegie Hall, representing his school, his community, and the entire realm of Grand Junction with honor, courage, and well-rehearsed vowels.
Will you join the quest?
Will you help this young bard roll a Natural 20 on the greatest performance check of his life?
The journey to glory begins now.
