Help Leon the cat's family afford lifesaving veterinary care!
Leon, a beloved family cat, was rushed to the emergency vet on March 16 with a urinary blockage. The procedure to clear his blockage was a success, but revealed a severe infection and off the charts kidney levels, requiring hospitalization. He's been hospitalized since, receiving intensive care and IV antibiotics. Unfortunately, an X-ray revealed a large bladder stone which requires urgent surgery to treat. The overall estimate from the veterinary hospital to get Leon through all of this is $7,454-$9,459.
Leon's family has already paid over $4,500 for the initial blockage and hospitalization, and they are now at the end of their rope in finding a way to pay the $3,000+ on top of that for the surgery he needs.
As Leon's former foster, I'm setting this up on behalf of Leon's family. Leon came into PAWS of Central Texas as a newborn kitten after he was found on the side of the road next to his deceased mother, who had been hit by a car. I bottle fed him for the first 12 weeks of his life, and then he went off to his loving adopters and has enjoyed many happy years with his family: his human parents and his 5 year old human sister. With this much-needed veterinary treatment, Leon has many more happy years of life left to live.
Please consider sharing/contributing to help Leon's family get him the treatment he needs.
